From a proud rooster to coq au vin

So. Then it`s done. Life is taken for the first time at our farm. I was nervous about how to deal with it. But it went okay. Almost like taking a fish up from the ocean.
We had three roosters in our henhouse. Too many. And one of them was quite a bully with the hens. So it was about time.
It was quick. From being a not too worried rooster. Until suddenly be without a head.
My wife kept a distance from the slaughter, riding on her horse.
Well this might seem to be quite brutal. But what is the best? To go to Mcdonald eating hamburger, not knowing the fate of the animal you eat? This is more honest. To kill your meal. Knowing that the animal was having a good time until the death.
So then it was lying at the kitchen table. Being mixed at a French recepy; Coq au vin.
Then the feast. Using a very fresh meat. And it tasted very good.
