Holiday and midsummer night

I`ve just started my holiday. Went straight away to a pub. Got a beer sitting outside. Bent my head straight upward and wathed into my freedom.
This day was also the Midsummers night. The brightest night of the year. The night when the sun is at the highest level.
Was sitting at the local beach with some friends. A couple of kids tried to swim in the 2-3 degrees cold water. Other sounds was just the waves, the calm chat around the fireside...And ofcourse some seagulls.
Well. It`s not much more to say. Than to tell it was a pretty good day and night.

Mystery of the Midnight Sun

I`d like to demystify the Midnight Sun.
We`ve heard lot`s of stories about foreign tourists having strange thoughts about the phenomena. Thinking that there are two suns; One in the daytime, and one in the night.
Some who has seen pictures believe that the landscape is all dark. Like this picture, taken 1 o`clock in the morning. But that`s because the camera cannot discover both the light of the sun and the landscape below.
After all, it`s just a sun. providing daylight 24 hours a day. It`s like an eternal sunset.
....revealing that my windows need a serious wash....
